PingBattle

Privacy policy

Last updated October 25, 2026

This policy explains what PingBattle stores, what it sends and to whom, on pingbattle.com and in the PingBattle apps for iPhone and Android. Inersion LLC makes PingBattle.

Summary

PingBattle has no accounts, ads or cookies, and nothing follows you across other sites. Most of what you do stays on your device. Data leaves it only when you play online, publish a live scoreboard or use voice commands, and the website counts visits without cookies, as described below.

On your device

Your settings, player name, scored matches, training log and tournaments are saved in your browser's local storage, or in the app's storage on iPhone and Android. They stay on the device unless you export them, for example as a CSV file. You can delete saved matches and tournaments in the app, and clearing the site's data in your browser or uninstalling the app removes everything.

Online play

When you play online, the PingBattle server connects you with your opponent. It receives the player name you entered and the room code, passes connection details between the two devices, and keeps nothing once you disconnect.

The match itself runs directly between the two devices over WebRTC, so your opponent's device sees your IP address and yours sees theirs. To find a direct connection, your device contacts STUN servers run by Cloudflare and Google, which also see your IP address. If a direct connection fails, game messages pass through the PingBattle server instead.

Live scoreboard

When you tap Go live in the scorekeeper, the match title, player names and score are stored on the PingBattle server, and anyone with the link or QR code can see them. A board is deleted 3 days after its last update.

Voice features

Voice commands in the scorekeeper use your browser's speech recognition. Some browsers send the audio to their maker to turn it into text; Chrome, for example, sends it to Google. PingBattle receives only the recognised words, uses them to update the score, and never records or uploads audio. The umpire voice uses your device's speech synthesis, and some voices are generated online by the browser's maker.

Visit counts

On pingbattle.com, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits: which pages are viewed, the site that linked to them, how quickly they load, and the country, browser and device type of each visit. It uses no cookies or storage on your device, and Cloudflare says it doesn't fingerprint visitors or follow them across sites. Inersion LLC sees the figures only as totals. The iPhone and Android apps don't use it.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts PingBattle and runs its server. To deliver and protect the service, Cloudflare processes details of each request, such as your IP address, and the server keeps request logs for a few days so errors can be fixed. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers how it handles them. Cloudflare runs servers in many countries, so this data may be processed outside your own.

Sharing

Inersion LLC does not sell or rent personal information, does not share it for advertising, and does not use it to build profiles. The only other parties involved are the ones named above.

Children

PingBattle is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Online play and live scoreboards show the name you enter to other people, so use a first name or a nickname. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, write to support@pingbattle.com and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can view and export what is stored on your device from the app, and delete it by clearing the site's data. The server has no accounts and cannot link anything to you, and live boards and logs expire on their own. If the law where you live gives you rights over your data, for example in the EU, the UK or California, write to support@pingbattle.com and we will help you use them.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
